JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY APPLIED PHYSICS LABORATORY ATLAS FELLOWSHIP

If you’ve completed your sophomore year of college, are majoring in electrical engineering or computer science—with a strong academic record, and would like to strengthen your preparation for a technical career, the APL Technology Leadership Scholars (ATLAS) Program is designed for you. This highly competitive 12-week program focuses on technology leadership development.

The ATLAS Summer Intern Program is offered to well-qualified, highly motivated undergraduates attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic- Serving Institutions (HSIs), and Minority Institutions (MIs) who have an interest in applied scientific research.

Applications must be submitted before December 31, along with the following:

1. Letter of recommendation from a faculty member that indicates the applicant's technical capabilities

2. Resume or statement from the applicant describing his or her interests or capabilities

3. Official transcript indicating a minimum 3.5 GPA—on a 4.0 scale—in electrical engineering, physical sciences or computer science. Students should have completed their sophomore year prior to employment.
